The RubbingtheRock.com staff have made picks for Clemson football for each and every game on the season and had a friendly picks contest which John Chancey won on the last week of the regular season. Kudos to Chancey.

With the conference championship games happening this weekend, we thought we’d share our picks for the ACC Championship Game and a wild card game, just for the fun of it.

John ChanceyCHAMP (14-10, 13-10 ATS)

Seeing Clemson play badly shakes one’s confidence, but we have an example this season (after Notre Dame) of them bouncing back against their next opponent. Drake Maye & UNC are also not playing their best football right now. I’ll take the Tigers and lay the points.

Chancey’s wild card pick is USC -3.

Houston Burnett – (13-10-1, 12-10-1 ATS)

It takes me a while to bounce back as a fan from a loss to South Carolina. Probably longer than this actual football team. They will give up some yards, but UNC’s defense is atrocious.

Houston’s wild card pick is LSU +17.5.

Casey “The Beef” Cregan – (11-13, 10-13 ATS)

I’ve picked Clemson to win every week in this space.  I’ve felt pretty good about each game as well.  This week, I’m baffled by BOTH teams.  What teams (for both sides) are going to show up?  I still cannot, in good conscience, pick against the Tigers.  I truly believe their best performance is still waiting to happen.  Drake Maye will be ACC POY, but also look out for Josh Downs, that little #11 can play!  However, thankfully UNC’s strength on defense is the back end, because Clemson SHOULD just pound the rock all night!

Casey’s wild card pick is also LSU +17.5.

Marty Coleman (11-13, 10-13 ATS)

Looking at my record there’s no way you should pay attention to what I’m about to write, but I’m still going to write it.  Much like Beef before me, I have no idea of what to expect out of either of these teams in this game.  The one result I’m having a difficult time wrapping my head around is a Clemson blowout win.  I think it’s either Clemson close or an outright North Carolina  win.

Marty’s wild card pick is Utah +2.5.
