Clemson football remained in the fifth spot in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll that was released Sunday.

Numbers 1 through 6 remained the same, with No. 1 Georgia and No. 4 Michigan having the week off and (2) Ohio State, (5) Clemson, (6) Alabama and (3) Tennessee all winning.

TCU moved up to number 7 with a comeback victory against Kansas State, with Oregon at number 8, Oklahoma State at number 9 and Wake Forest and USC tied at 10.

No. 12 through 20 are UCLA, Penn State, Utah, Ole Miss, Syracuse, Illinois, LSU, Kentucky and Cincinnati.

UCLA, Ole Miss and Syracuse all fell from the unbeaten ranks this week.

The final five are North Carolina, Kansas State, Tulane North Carolina State and South Carolina.

This means Clemson’s resume now includes wins over No. 10 (tie) Wake Forest, No. 16 Syracuse and No. 24 North Carolina State.

Those teams have combined for 4 losses on the season with three of them coming against Clemson.

The ACC has five teams ranked in the top 25, not bad for a league that is often disrespected by the national media.

After this week off, Clemson’s remaining schedule includes one team in the current top 25, No. 25 South Carolina.

Others on the remaining Tiger schedule are Notre Dame, Louisville and Miami and all but Notre Dame are in Death Valley.

Michigan’s strength of schedule is still questionable in my mind, but remember their last two games are against surprising Illinois and on the road against Ohio State.

Clemson football is one of six undefeated teams left in the nation

There are 6 undefeated teams left: Ohio State, Georgia, Clemson, Tennessee, Michigan and TCU.

The maximum number of undefeated teams possible is only four, as Michigan and Ohio State and Tennessee and Georgia play each other in the regular season.

ESPNs FPI metric gives the Tigers a 40.6% chance of winning out, and 82.3% chance of winning the ACC, 61.8% chance of making the playoff and a 7.7% chance of winning the National Championship.

Next. Tigers remain unbeaten. dark
