Clemson football defensive end target Tomarrion Parker has set his commitment date as November 21st.

Parker is reportedly down to four schools: Clemson, Penn State, Texas A&M and Tennessee.

At one time Parker was committed to Penn State before backing off that pledge on August 9th.

As we noted last month, Parker has several crystal ball predictions to Clemson, but this isn’t a done deal yet, as Parker is headed to Knoxville this weekend for the matchup with the Crimson Tide.

One would have to wonder if that environment, the lure of the SEC, and potential NIL money could make a difference in Parker’s recruitment, but that’s just speculation on my end.

The 6’4, 250-pound edge rusher is the 87th ranked player and 9th ranked defensive lineman in the 247.com composite ranking, but is much higher rated by 247sports.com itself, coming in at number 44 overall and 6th best among defensive linemen.

Should Parker decide to join the commitment list at Clemson it will add to an already impressive list of defensive linemen assembled by the Tigers staff, including Peter Woods, Vic Burley, Stephiylan Green, David Ojiegbe and A.J. Hoffler.

Clemson football is believed to be in the lead for 4-star edge rusher Tomarrion Parker

There will be Clemson will likely be plenty to replace along the defensive line after this season as both Myles Murphy and Bryan Bresee are highly prized NFL prospects, K.J. Henry and Xavier Thomas will exhaust their eligibility and Tyler Davis and Justin Mascoll are listed as seniors.

Clemson recently dropped to 9th in the 247sports.com team rankings for the 2023 class, after the decommitment of four star offensive lineman Zechariah Owens on Thursday.

Given the crystal balls and other intel, Clemson is believed to be the leader for Parker’s services, but funny things happen on the way to early signing day and we’ll likely need to reevaluate Parker’s situation after the weekend trip to Tennessee.
