4. North Carolina State Wolfpack – Last Week: 4 – (5-1) – Survive and advance, the NC State way.  Devin Leary left the game with an injury and yet the Pack still managed to comeback and win in the hostile environment of Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, FL.  Justin Houston ran for 90 yards, and Leary’s replacement (walk-on) Jack Chambers came in and although his official stats are nothing to brag about (0-1 passing; 7 rushes for 39 yards) he was able to lead his offense to the win.  The defense was good, yet again.  Next up: @ Syracuse

3. Syracuse Orange – Last Week: 3 – (5-0) – Syracuse had an open week this past weekend, and no one around them in the rankings did anything worthy of jumping them, so they stay at #3.  This is a tough three game stretch upcoming for the Orange with NC State, @ Clemson and Notre Dame.  After a 5-0 start, can Dino Babers’ squad weather the proverbial storm of three of the better teams on their schedule.  We shall see.  Next up: vs. NC State

2. Wake Forest Demon Deacons – Last Week: 2 – (5-1) – Wake took care of business against Army this past weekend.  Sam Hartman was steady as always in limited action and running back Justice Ellison averaged 8.7 yards per carry.  Christian Turner scored two touchdowns on the ground as well in a game that was not competitive in the slightest.  An off week this week before the final six game stretch.  Next up: vs. Boston College (10/22)

1. Clemson Tigers – Last Week: 1 – (6-0) – Slow starts has been the staple of the 2022 Clemson squad as the score versus Boston College was 3-3 with eight minutes left in the second quarter.  The “middle 8” (last four minutes of the first half and first four minutes of the second half) are something that Dabo Swinney preaches, and Clemson continues to be dominant at that point.  They ran away and hid from the Eagles and won convincingly 31-3.  DJ Uiagalelei threw for 220 and 3 touchdowns adding 69 yards on the ground.  The Tigers ran for 144 yards on the ground.  The defense was extremely stingy not allowing BC many yards, 254 total to be exact.  Still work to be done as muffed punts and an interception led to some tense moments.  Next up: @ Florida State
