No. 2 – NC State at Clemson

This is the one, my friends. Week 5. Clemson welcomes the Wolfpack to Death Valley, and I expect ESPN College Gameday to be there.

Most every prognosticator out there is picking one of these two teams to win the Atlantic Division. I don’t see any other game on the schedule in Week 5 that matches two teams as highly regarded in the preseason as this one.

Clemson’s newest Hall Of Fame inductees, like Jacoby Ford, Da’Quan Bowers and Dwayne Allen, will be honored at halftime. Any of those famous Tigers would make a great guest game picker.

Next most likely: Michigan at Iowa

I’m sure the Alabama at Arkansas game will be hyped but I don’t think most expect the Razorbacks to be true threats to the Tide, and I think most people outside of Fayetteville are of the same mindset.

Michigan at Iowa is close to NC State at Clemson regarding preseason respect for the teams, and Iowa would be a great host for Gameday. It isn’t a matchup between division foes, however, and the Clemson revenge angle will bump the Pack vs. the Tigers over the top.
