Last week I wrote an article about TigerImpact, the purpose driven NIL that many Clemson football players and other athletes participate with.

I was first made aware of the details of TigerImpact by the Dubcast podcast via Larry Williams of TigerIllustrated.

The podcast sat in my feed for a while and then one Saturday morning during garage and yard chores I’d run out of podcasts to listen to and decided to give it a shot.

If you aren’t aware of TigerImpact and what it does I encourage you to spend a few minutes reading up on the this organization, the athletes that are involved and the charities they provide marketing services for.

My guess is that it will make you proud to have attended Clemson or be associated with Clemson in some way, just like it did for me.

I happened to listen around the time that Lamborghini’s and Lear Jets were the talk of the NIL world, but I couldn’t help but feeling proud of Clemson, TigerImpact and the young people that are representing the university and decided to write about it.

Imagine my surprise when 365sports in Waco, TX reached out and said they read the article and wanted me to come on their show to discuss Clemson football and TigerImpact.

What an honor to share the story of Clemson football and TigerImpact outside to a broader audience

What an honor that I didn’t feel prepared for, but did my best.  I hope the fine folks at TigerImpact aren’t too disappointed, but the segment starts around the 2:14:30 mark.

It just goes to show you that you never know who’s reading or listening and how what you choose to write or say could potentially impact someone down the road.

The title of that first article was “NIL the Clemson way – The path less traveled” and was intended to point out how Clemson was doing NIL differently than most schools because of organizations like TigerImpact and I’m thrilled it got some attention outside of Clemson.

Other articles will get more views and reactions, but I doubt any will make me feel as good as this one does.

Thank you to Larry Williams for the podcast and the guys on the show – David Smoak, Paul Smoak and Paul Catalina – but most of all thank you to TigerImpact.

Next. Don't forget about K.J. Henry. dark
