This could be an intriguing matchup this season with the addition of Spencer Rattler and some other pieces in Columbia.

I picked Rattler to win the Heisman last season, but that was at Oklahoma, with the offense and weapons the Sooners had.

He failed miserably and I’m not sure it gets any better against SEC defenses this season before this game.

The Gamecocks added a fair amount of talent through the portal, including Rattler and tight end Austin Stogner, also from Oklahoma.

Rattler will definitely be an upgrade, but if this series has shown anything the last seven seasons, it’s that one team has much more talent than the other and it’s showing on the field.

After all, South Carolina suffered a humiliating 30-0 shutout defeat on it’s home field in a year when Clemson was “down”.

Rattler and Stogner will help, but it’s not enough and the Tigers roll.
