#3 – Wake Forest Demon Deacons – 9/24 – Winston-Salem, NC

I believe there will be a recurring theme in this final installment of the toughest games and that is quarterbacks.  Wake Forest returns not only All-ACC quarterback Sam Hartman for his 27th year in college football, but all-everything wideout A.T. Perry as well.

Head Coach Dave Clawson has always had a solid ball club, and this season will be no different.  They did lose their top running back to South Carolina via the transfer portal (Christian Beal-Smith), but Clawson tends to get the best out of each of his players.

The Tigers have seemingly had Wake’s number for the past few seasons, but I still have nightmares about the games up there that did not go the Tigers way.

Hartman, plus a pair of high-quality WRs, plus a solid defense makes Wake the 3rd toughest game for the Tigers in 2022.  It is also the first of the four game stretch of tough games.
