Clemson football: Peter Woods speaks volumes about Dabo and Clemson
In case you’re living under a rock and missed the news, Clemson football got a huge commitment on Friday, from Alabaster, Alabama 5 star defensive lineman Peter Woods.
Just the fact that Woods chose Clemson over the heavily favored Alabama Crimson Tide spoke volumes, but Woods went even further than that when talking with WLOS – 13.
"I was Bama until all the way up until the end of my official visit and I just knew. I knew. I was getting ready to walk out of Coach Swinney’s office and I knew this is where I need to be and if I walked out that office that day my chest was going to be hurting the whole way home and I was excited to make that decision."
Woods went on to laud what Clemson offers young student athletes:
"I feel like Clemson holds everything that a student needs to better their education to better themselves spiritually, physically, mentally and the whole nine yards, so I feel like it has everything that I need."
The talking heads and football “experts” hate Dabo and what he represents, thankfully thoughtful young men without preconceived notions see what Dabo and Clemson offer both on and off the field
At a time when Dabo is routinely lambasted for his way of doing things and how he’s fallen behind the times in college football with no way to keep up with modern recruiting, young men like Woods speak volumes about Dabo and Clemson.
Grownups and those that blather on for a living without knowing Dabo or even having ever met the man have preconceived notions of how and who he is based on their life experiences, people in their past (or present) and some spout nonsense to gets clicks.
Take a young man of Woods’ caliber with no preconceived notions and have him spend a weekend with Dabo at Clemson and you get an incredibly different view of what and who Dabo is.
