Clemson football: ESPN FPI projections – Yes or no?
YES. No need to even try and build up the suspense on this one, the Tigers will win at least 6 and will likely have three wins within the first 12 days of the season when they play Georgia Tech, Furman and Louisiana Tech between September 5th and September 17th.
After the first three there’s a trip to Wake Forest, home game against N.C. State, trips to Chestnut Hill and Tallahassee, hosting Syracuse, off week, trip to Notre Dame before the Tigers finish with three straight home games against Louisville, Miami and South Carolina.
Clemson’s likely to be a favorite in all of those games, with the exception of Notre Dame.
That doesn’t mean they win them all, but it means they’ll win their share, plus lets not forget that Clemson is currently on a 34 game home winning streak.
It’s crazy to think that Pittsburgh game when Blewit didn’t blow the field goal on November 12 of 2016 is the last time Clemson lost at home.
That one was so painful the Tigers have said, “Nah, we got this” 34 straight times since.
