9. DJ Uiagalelei – Quarterback, JR

  • 3,160 passing yards
  • 14 passing touchdowns
  • 368 rushing yards
  • 8 rushing touchdowns

Uiagalelei’s 2021 season did not live up to the expectations most had for him, but those expectations were high for a reason. He has the measurables of an NFL caliber quarterback. To this day, there are still draft experts who predict that DJ will be a Top 5 quarterback taken in the 2023 Draft.

The reality is that if Uiagalelei’s career completion percentage of 55% and his 2021 touchdown to interception ratio of 9 to 10 don’t improve considerably in 2022 there won’t be a lot of interest in the 6-4 prospect. That doesn’t keep a lot of fans from hoping that whatever plagued DJU’s last season is long gone, and the guy we saw set the 3rd best mark for passing yards in a single game in Clemson history as a freshman against Notre Dame re-asserts himself. If that happens over the course of the 2022 campaign, Uiagalelei will almost certainly enter the draft.
