The Clemson Tigers return home this Saturday when they play host to the UConn Huskies.
Following the loss to Pittsburgh a couple of weeks ago, the Tigers are now on a two-game winning streak with close victories over Florida State and Louisville in back-to-back weeks.
The game this weekend is designated as Military Appreciation Day and the Tigers will be wearing their all-purple uniforms. For anyone who has never been to Military Appreciation Day at Clemson, it’s one of the most special events each season and something that Tiger fans truly look forward to being a part of.
As far as on-the-field is concerned, Clemson is looking to improve to 7-3 on the season with just two games remaining after this one.
Clemson Injury Report vs. UConn Week 11
Naming players who aren’t injured might be a shorter list. Dabo Swinney told the media earlier this week that he doesn’t expect starting OG Will Putnam to be available. Two players– CB Andrew Booth Jr. and RB Kobe Pace– have been in concussion protocol this week. Pace is expected to play while Booth is still doubtful.
QB D.J. Uiagalelei, who suffered a sprained PCL in the Louisville game last week, was held out of practice Monday, but has practiced the rest of this week and will play.
The Tigers are already without a double-digit amount of scholarship players for the season due to injuries.
Clemson vs UConn Odds, Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick Week 11
WynnBET’s Week 11 CFB odds have the Tigers listed as 41-point favorites at home over the Huskies. Despite the massive amount of substitutions we’re going to see in this one and the lack of competence from the offense, we still are predicting Clemson to cover that massive spread.
Why? UConn is simply that bad.
Brent Venables’ defense will stone the Huskie offense for the majority of the afternoon and the Tiger offense should have no trouble– even with all their struggles this season– moving the ball pretty much at will on a less-than-stellar UConn defense.
