Clemson Game Saturday: Clemson vs. Boston College odds and prediction for NCAA Week 5 game
The Clemson Tigers will once again be looking to rebound as they head back to Death Valley following a loss to NC State this past weekend.
The Tigers fell to an abysmal 2-2 on the season after an overtime defeat in Raleigh and now they’ll be coming back for a matchup against a hungry Boston College team that is designated as Homecoming.
Unfortunately, getting back in the win column won’t be an easy task but it is necessary if the Tigers want to have any remote chance at still winning the ACC Championship, which at this point seems like a pipe dream.

Clemson vs. Boston College Prediction Week 5
There is nothing about this game that should scream ‘positivity’ for Clemson fans.
The Tigers have an elite defense, but they’re now going to be without their two starting defensive tackles– Tyler Davis is still out for 6-7 more weeks and Bryan Bresee is done for the year– and there is potential that James Skalski won’t be able to play either.
When you combine the serious injury concerns that are beginning to mount on the defense with the atrocious play of the offense– and the fact that the Tigers will be without their top playmaker in Will Shipley for the foreseeable future– there is nothing that tells me we should expect them to cover those 16 points.
Honestly, Clemson hasn’t scored 16 points in regulation against an FBS opponent this season. What makes anyone think this will be the week?
Boston College is coming off a big overtime win over Missouri and they’re missing their starting quarterback, but the Eagles have one of the better offensive lines in the ACC and they’re going to be able to string some drives together, especially as the night progresses and the Tiger defense begins to wear down from being on the field.
We’re taking Boston College with the 16 points and with the poor offensive performance thus far, we’ll take the Eagles to win outright as well.
Hopefully we’re wrong and hopefully we begin to see D.J. Uiagalelei and that Tiger offense explode onto the scene and show legitimate improvement, but at this point it just seems that this team isn’t very good and they’re going up against a confident Boston College team that came to Death Valley last year and almost pulled out a victory.
