After opening up the season with a loss, Clemson got back into the win column this past weekend with a 49-3 victory over in-state FCS opponent S.C. State.

Now, the Tigers will open up ACC play with a game against conference rival Georgia Tech. Clemson enters the 2021 season holding a streak of six-straight ACC Championships.

Clemson comes into this game ranked as the No. 6 team in the nation by the AP Poll and the Tigers are looking to continue their climb back to the top here early in the season.

Clemson vs. Georgia Tech Odds Week 3

The Week 3 betting odds on WynnBET have Clemson pegged as a 28.5-point favorite at home. The Tigers have -110 money line odds and interestingly enough, so does Georgia Tech. The over/under is set at 51 points.

Clemson vs. Georgia Tech Prediction Week 3

Georgia Tech is far from the Yellow Jackets of old as we enter into this one. Georgia Tech lost its season opener to Northern Illinois and while they rebounded with a win over Kennesaw State last weekend, the truth of the matter is that Clemson is favored heavily for a good reason.

The problem for the Tigers? They simply haven’t shown the ability to put together a cohesive offense. At least, not yet.

D.J. Uiagalelei is making strides, but it still seems he’s playing tight. The offensive line looked better, for the most part, last weekend, but that was against S.C. State. The running backs, particularly Will Shipley, look good, but we should expect that Georgia Tech will be stacking the box and forcing Uiagalelei to beat them.

Until it happens, we’ve got some doubts about what this offense is going to be able to do. The good news? The defense may be the most dominant unit that we’ve ever seen under Brent Venables.

Look for Clemson to cover the spread with a dominant defensive performance, but until the offense proves it, I’m not going to take the ‘over’ in any game. We’ll go Clemson 38, Georgia Tech 7 as the final.
