Five encouraging signs for Clemson football as we move forward

5. There’s nothing better than a written-off & disrespected Clemson football team

There are already ESPN analysts who have said Clemson has next-to-zero chance of making the CFB Playoff. We’ve already heard opposing fan bases say how the Tigers’ run at the top-tier of the nation is over. We’ve already seen many Clemson football fans say that it’s all over.

And now this team gets to hear these sentiments– and plenty more– for the entirety of a season.

We haven’t had that kind of ‘disrespected’ narrative since the 2018 season and, honestly, you may have to go back further to 2015 and 2016.

Who cares if Clemson is written off for the time being? Maybe the coaches use this as motivation and we see a team that executes at a much higher level the rest of this season.

Maybe Clemson does miss the CFB Playoff, but I can guarantee you this: If the Tigers do get another shot in the postseason, you’ve got to believe that you’ll see their very best effort. They’re not going to make mental mistakes in December and January like we saw on Saturday and maybe in some ways it’s better that they went ahead and got their loss out of the way now.

Look for the team to come together under this ‘disrespected’ banner and that might just be what they need to improve and come back stronger than ever.
