Five encouraging signs for Clemson football as we move forward

4. Joseph Ngata showed his potential

If you want a bright spot in the offense, how about Joseph Ngata?

He had six catches for 110 yards and looked like a confident and completely healthy weapon on that offense.

We’ve been hearing for years now about the potential of Joseph Ngata, but haven’t gotten to see him put together a whole game yet. In a game where nothing seemed to go right on offense, Ngata was the bright spot.

He made some really tough catches and, honestly, he was the only wide receiver who consistently created much separation from his defender all night long.

Ngata showed great physicality blended with his athleticism and that’s going to be a fun combination to watch over the course of this season. He has the talent to be not only one of the leaders on this team, but to be one of the best wide receivers in the country. Look for Ngata to continue to take big strides in the coming weeks.
