Three surprises that UGA will never see coming against Clemson football

3. A more physical & confident offensive line

We’ve talked ad nauseum all offseason about the incompetence of the offensive line last season.

In every single analysis article that you’ve read this offseason, I’d be willing to bet the Clemson offensive line was mentioned and that the unit was noted as a major area of concern coming into the game.

What if the biggest surprise of the game is the way that Clemson’s offensive line goes about its business? What if that unit shows massive improvement and does its job against the Bulldogs?

This offensive line has been talked about all season long. They’ve heard how bad they are and they’ve had to grow up all the while facing one of the best defensive lines in the country in practice all offseason. At some point, you either grow up and get better or you fail miserably.

This offensive line has the talent to be better than what we saw last season and I think they’re finally going to live up to that potential. No one is asking them to dominate Georgia’s defensive line. All we’re asking for is that they protect D.J. Uiagalelei and they get a push up-front.

Perhaps it’s just wishful thinking, but something tells me UGA is going to be a little surprised at the caliber of Clemson’s offensive line when they line up head-to-head this Saturday evening, especially after hearing how they were going to dominate the Tiger unit for the last eight months.
