Three UGA Bulldogs who could be a problem for Clemson football

2. WR Jermaine Burton

Georgia’s best wide receiver, George Pickens, suffered a torn ACL in the spring and will be out for this game against the Tigers.

In addition, the Bulldogs will likely be without TE/WR Arik Gilbert, who stepped away from the team for personal reasons, and projected starting TE Darnell Washington.

While that means Daniels won’t have quite as many weapons in his arsenal coming into the matchup, he still will have plenty of talent, led by WR Jermaine Burton.

Burton, a 6-foot-0, 200 pound playmaker, caught 27 passes for 404 yards in 2020. He is a guy who can line up in multiple spots and does an excellent job getting open and using his route-running ability to create separation between him and the defender.

When you look at that Clemson secondary, you can see why that may be a problem.

While Burton is nowhere near the caliber of player as Ohio State’s Garrett Wilson, he has many of the same qualities that gave the Tigers fits back in January.
