The 2021 Clemson football season will be defined by these things

8. An elite pass-rush

We can’t tell you for 100 percent certainty that Clemson is going to beat Georgia. We can’t tell you fore 100 percent certainly that the Tigers will make the CFB Playoff or win the National Title.

But if you want a spoiler alert for this season, here’s what it is: Clemson will have an elite pass-rush.

Bryan Bresee and Tyler Davis on the inside, in my opinion, is the best duo in the country. Then you’ve got Myles Murphy at defensive end along with Xavier Thomas, KJ Henry and Justin Foster. Clemson has been high on guys like Ruke Orhorhoro and Justin Mascoll, as well.

The point being: Clemson is going to have a deep and talented defensive line. They are going to win the battle along the lines of scrimmage and they’re going to get to the quarterback.

In 2018, Clemson had 54 sacks and 136 tackles for loss. That’s an average of 3.6 sacks per game and 9.1 tackles for loss per game. Look for this defense to have similar, if not better, numbers when it’s all said and done.
