The 2021 Clemson football season will be defined by these things

3. Forfeitures & COVID

Unfortunately, we’re about to enter another season with COVID protocols and all of the power conferences have determined that any team that is unable to play will have to forfeit.

The good news here is that Clemson is well over that 85 percent threshold for vaccines and that means testing protocols are a little more relaxed.

In addition, Clemson is about to welcome full-capacity crowds back into Death Valley for the 2021 season, which will also be fun.

That being said, the big question here is how forfeitures will affect the country as a whole. Hopefully we will be able to see a full CFB slate with no forfeitures, but it’s not going to be unheard of this season and it’s something that will loom over College Football as a whole in some form or fashion.

We’re excited to see a season that is going to look much more normal, but that still doesn’t mean COVID won’t play a role in some way or another.
