Clemson football: Ranking all 12 games on the 2021 schedule by difficulty
6. @ Louisville Cardinals (Nov. 6)
Louisville might be the biggest enigma in the conference as we head into the 2021 season.
Depending on what analyst you listen to, you’ll get a completely different outlook for the Cardinals. Some have Louisville finishing as high as second in the ACC Atlantic. Others have them near the bottom potentially even losing to Wake Forest and Syracuse.
While we can’t tell you exactly what will happen with this Louisville team, we can give you one constant: QB Malik Cunningham.
Cunningham is going to be a breakout quarterback in the conference this season and he has many qualities similar- but we’re not saying equal- to Lamar Jackson. He’s explosive in the running game and has a solid arm.
He’ll be without his two top receivers and running back from last year, but the Cardinal defense should be much improved and there are pieces to make us think this Louisville team could be competitive with the mid-tier programs of the ACC.
