Clemson football: 42 Tigers do advertisements for local company

If you thought that we wouldn’t see local companies play a major role in NIL agreements for Clemson football players, you were mistaken.

Clemson has been known for quite some time to have one of the most passionate local fan bases in the country and that can be seen in the Clemson area, as well as throughout the upstate in places like Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson and Seneca.

With a passionate and thriving local market, Clemson football players will have an advantage that many other players throughout the country might not possess when it comes to benefitting off their name, image and likeness.

The Action Network’s Darren Rovell reported on Monday morning that Tiger Moving Company, a Greenville, SC-based company, had done ‘one-off’ Instagram adds with 42 Clemson football players.

Tiger Moving Company is a local moving company that focuses with a Clemson theme. They have trucks named after former Clemson football players and with the new NIL rules, it wouldn’t be surprising in the least to see some of those current Tigers have moving trucks named after them, either.

Clemson football players are going to benefit from this local market in a way that many likely don’t understand yet

If you’ve ever been to the upstate or to the Clemson area in general, you can tell that something is different.

There are Clemson alumni sprinkled throughout the state of South Carolina, but that’s especially concentrated in the upstate, and people absolutely love their Tigers.

That passionate local market is going to benefit players who might not have gotten NIL deals otherwise.

People in this market know and recognize basically every single Clemson football player on the roster. That gives an opportunity for players who aren’t nationally acclaimed to still land NIL agreements and for these companies to benefit from having that ‘Clemson tie’ to their business, even if it’s not technically a ‘Clemson tie.’
