Trenton Simpson took a bit of a different angle, as well, when it came to name, image and likeness.

Simpson, the sophomore linebacker who many Clemson football fans believe will develop into a national star this season, invited fans to like, comment and subscribe to his Youtube channel.

Simpson said he will be posting consistent content on his social media accounts and was inviting fans to help him begin to build up his brand.

As we’ve looked at NIL in the past, one of the major areas that many financial analysts believe student-athletes can benefit is through their social media platforms. Simpson currently has 6.7K followers on  Twitter, but that could absolutely blow up over the course of this season if he performs at the rate many believe he will.
