5. Cornell Powell

There has been talk that Cornell Powell could be a late-Day 2 prospect, but the overarching theme is that we’ll see him selected on Day 3.

Just like Rodgers, Powell is a victim of a deep wide receiver class and the fact of the matter is that there are going to be plenty of wide receivers to choose from once Day 3 comes around. We expect many franchises to wait until Day 3 of the draft to take a wide receiver simply because of the depth at the position.

Powell could hear his name called as early as the mid-portion of Round 4, but we expect the more likely scenario is for him to be taken in Round 5.

There is a chance that he falls to Round 6, but that would be the floor.

Still, Powell will have a chance to prove himself and will absolutely be drafted before the event is over.
