Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney doesn’t have a Twitter account, but it doesn’t stop him from going viral on the social media platform several times throughout the year.

In the latest Swinney saga on Twitter, we saw a little bit of an interesting wager take place between Dabo Swinney and Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin.

Ole Miss women’s basketball coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin posted on Twitter that Swinney had told her during a FaceTime call that he could take on Kiffin in a one-on-one basketball matchup. ‘Anytime, anyplace,’ as the Tweet read.

Kiffin responded to the challenge and gave an invitation for Swinney to meet him down in Mississippi for a game.

Clemson football fans have to feel good about Swinney’s chances if this were to ever happen

This is all in good fun and nothing is likely to ever take place, but we do believe that it would be Clemson who’d come out on top if Swinney did play a little pickup game against Kiffin.

For anyone who has seen Swinney play basketball, you know that he has a nice three-point shot and his handles are very good. Swinney shows great speed when running down the hill and through Death Valley and everyone knows how competitive he is.

When you combine those skills with his clear athleticism and competitive nature, Kiffin might be in for trouble.

If this ever did happen, it would be fun to watch and would be an excellent way to possibly raise some money for charity and at the very least give fans some ‘bragging rights’ material as we continue to go through this long offseason.

What do you think, Clemson football fans? How bad would Swinney beat Kiffin in a pickup basketball game? Or do you think it would be the Rebels’ head coach who would come out as the victory?
