The Clemson football program locked up its quarterback commitment for the 2022 class when 4-star QB Cade Klubnik committed earlier this spring.

With Klubnik locked in to the Tigers, Clemson has already started the process of evaluation and recruiting for the 2023 recruiting cycle.

The top quarterback in the class of 2023? 5-star QB Arch Manning.

Manning, the nephew of Peyton & Eli Manning, is considered a 5-star and is probably the most hyped quarterback to come out of high school since Trevor Lawrence.

Here’s what the recruiting pitch will be from Clemson football to Arch Manning

There’s no doubt that Clemson football is going to have its hands full if it wants to win the recruiting battle that’s about to ensue for Manning.

At this point, Texas and LSU would be considered the two favorites but we’re far too early in his process to be making any kind of claims about where he’ll ultimately end up.

As Brandon Streeter and the Tiger coaching staff continue to touch base and make pitches to Manning, there are four things they need to continually point out:

  1. You can win multiple National Championships at Clemson.
  2. The starting QB job is completely open when you arrive on campus.
  3. Look at the success Clemson has had at the position as of late.
  4. The Clemson experience.

In short, the pitch is simple: Championships, playing time, NFL readiness and the specialness that can only come from where the Blue Ridge yawns its greatness.

Manning can develop into an NFL-ready quarterback anywhere, but what about a program that’s going to have a track record of three first-rounders in the last seven years with Watson, Lawrence and Uiagalelei pretty soon?

Not only that, but he’ll be able to come in from Day 1 and become a starter with a program that’s legitimately competing for National Championships every year. No offense to a program like Texas, but what have the Longhorns done on the field that would indicate they’re taking steps towards becoming that level of a program?

Lastly, getting Manning on campus and letting him experience Clemson for himself is going to be important. There’s something about those hills and the beauty of that area with the small town feel. When you combine that with the culture of Dabo Swinney and the immaculate facilities, you get an experience unlike any other.
