The last commitment to this point for the Clemson football program in the 2022 recruiting class was 4-star QB Cade Klubnik.

Klubnik had been waiting on an offer from Clemson football for quite a while and basically pulled the trigger as soon as the Tigers offered him just a few months ago.

Though Klubnik has been a fast-riser in the recruiting rankings, he still hasn’t gotten near the love that many other QB counterparts, including the guy he beat in a head-to-head battle in 5-star Quinn Ewers- who is considered the No. 1 player in the nation according to 247 Sports’ Composite Player Rankings.

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football ran a poll on Twitter where the massive disrespect for Klubnik continued. The poll posed this question: Your team has to go 80 yards in 60 seconds with no timeouts and down five. Who are you picking?

Before many Clemson football fans voted, Klubnik wasn’t the leader and he was actually almost in third place

Clemson football fans began to take over the poll, but there was a point with about 1,000 votes in where Ewers was firmly in the lead and 4-star Conner Weigman was second.

Klubnik surged on and currently holds the lead with 34 percent of the vote, but it just goes to show the amount of disrespect that some hold towards him. What do we mean?

People tend to forget results that actually happened on the field.

Klubnik led his team on a game-winning drive in the Class 6A state playoffs against North Shore just this past winter. North Shore was ranked as the No. 2 team in the country and, trailing 21-17, Klubnik led his team on a 69-yard drive that was capped off by him scoring a touchdown.

If that weren’t enough to show his clutch ability, Klubnik completed 18-of-20 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown in the Class 6A Division 1 state championship where he took on Ewers head-to-head and won.

Klubnik has proven that he’s a winner more than anything else and that’s a trait that just can’t be taught. Though many still overlook him, there’s no doubt he has the ability to have a successful career and help Clemson win even more titles.
