Former Clemson football WR Amari Rodgers has been getting a lot of attention lately because of his blend of physicality and athleticism.

It’s been an intriguing topic so much so that many fans and analysts have speculated that he could potentially move to the backfield and play running back at the next level.

While the prospect of a physical body like Rodgers lining up in the backfield and carrying the ball as a running back is something interesting to think about, the former Clemson football wide receiver put those narratives to bed with a social media post last week.

In the post, Rodgers said ‘you can chill with all that running back talk, I’m a wide receiver.’

There’s no doubt Rodgers can play wide receiver at the next level and he’ll be successful, just as he was with Clemson football

Rodgers is continuing to rise up NFL Draft boards as we get closer to the event. You can’t look at his film, measurables, speed, athleticism and physicality and think that anything other than that would happen.

As we get closer to draft time and we look at what Rodgers was able to accomplish, I’m becoming more and more convinced that Rodgers is going to be one of the steals of this draft class.

There are some analysts that believe he could go as soon as the second-round and that wouldn’t  be surprising, but we see Rodgers likely falling to third-round and that’s going to be an absolute steal for whatever team ends up nabbing him then.

This is a deep wide receiver class with a lot of talent, but Rodgers continues to shine above the rest.

As we get closer to draft time, Rubbing the Rock will be giving you complete analysis and draft profiles for each Tiger who is expected to be taken.
