Sammy Watkins

Sammy Watkins is not going to re-sign with the Kansas City Chiefs and it’s going to be interesting to see where he ultimately lands and how much his contract ends up being worth.

There is a large volume of receivers in this year’s free-agent class and the depth of the wide receiver position in the draft isn’t going to help his cause either.

Watkins played in 10 games with the Chiefs last season and caught 37 passes for 421 yards and two touchdowns. Though he has never reached that potential that most hoped out of the draft when he was taken with the No. 4 overall pick, Watkins has had a solid career nonetheless.

He’ll find an NFL home somewhere but it’s probably going to take him having a decent pay cut.
