Trevor Lawrence quarterback is going to be the first pick of the 2021 NFL draft.

It is hard to tell who is more excited – Clemson football fans that the program will have its first-ever number one pick in the NFL draft or the Jacksonville Jaguars fans who are elated that they won the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes.

Jaguar fans know that they are getting a generational talent and a guy that will represent Duval County on and off the field. They know that they are getting a football player who is ready to lead them back to the playoffs and will help head coach Urban Meyer establish a winning culture.

The Jaguars have not had back-to-back winning seasons since the 1996-1999 seasons when they rattled off four straight and made it to two AFC championship games. Like all of us, Jags fans know that Trevor Lawrence is a winner and will bring back those early glory years to a city starving to be among the league’s elite.

How excited is this fan base? They created a website – TrevorTime.com

Currently, you can buy a t-shirt that features a picture of Trevor Lawrence with the caption “HOPE” underneath and the site also has a countdown clock that culminates on the day that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will announce Lawrence as the top overall selection.

While NFL media continues to argue whether Zack Wilson, Justin Fields, Trey Lance, or Mac Jones will have a better overall NFL career and should actually be the first pick, Urban Meyer is on the beach with his family knowing that he and the Jaguars will select the best quarterback since the 2012 NFL draft.

We are just 30 days away from Trevor Lawrence fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming an NFL player and the number one overall pick like his childhood idol, Peyton Manning.

Hopefully, he is able to enjoy the rest of the process, continue to focus on his rehab, and is as excited to go to Jacksonville as they are to have him.
