Tight End

Starter: Braden Galloway or Davis Allen

  • Jaelyn Lay
  • Sage Ennis
  • Jake Briningstool

We’ve got a talented tight end group to begin the spring and it all starts on top with two returning veterans.

Davis Allen proved to be the best all-around tight end on the team last season and he’s going to come into this year looking to build on that. Braden Galloway is the best receiver out of the bunch, though, so it stands to reason that both guys will see plenty of playing time and will be used in different sets.

Two guys we are looking at this spring behind Galloway and Allen: Jaelyn Lay and incoming 4-star Jake Briningstool (the No. 1 TE in the country).

Can Briningstool work his way up the depth chart as a freshman? Can Lay- a former 4-star- improve after a quiet couple of years in the program?
