Clemson football WR Justyn Ross is ready to make an impact
The 2020 Clemson football team was without one of its top stars this past season when WR Justyn Ross was held out due to surgery on his spine.
Ross has had a long road of recovery so far and there are still hurdles for him to jump through before it’s all said and done. He hasn’t been cleared to play at full-contact yet, but has been working out and running through routes for quite some time.
Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney said the plan is for him to run routes during the spring with the hopes that he will be cleared to compete at full-go this fall.
While nothing is a guarantee, Ross has stayed confident and optimistic about making a full return. He decided to come back to the Clemson football program for one more year instead of testing his fate with the NFL- which was a big boost- and he seems ready to make an impact.
Many analysts have written Ross off and are completely forgetting about him in their way-too-early previews for the 2021 season.
That’s exactly what Ross is telling them to keep ‘sleeping’ on him.
That being said, not everyone has forgotten about the Clemson football standout wide receiver
Pro Football Focus just released its list of the top-10 wide receivers returning in 2021. Ross was ranked as No. 3 on that list, just behind Ohio State’s Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson.
There’s no doubt that Ross has the ability to be the top wide receiver in the nation this coming year, if he’s 100 percent healthy.
He has all the traits you look for in a dominant boundary wide receiver and the connection between him and D.J. Uiagalelei in the deep game could be off the charts this coming season.
It will be interesting to see how Ross progresses this coming spring and summer. We wish him nothing but the best and hope we get to see No. 8 in his best form compete this fall.
