Clemson Football: 5-star DE Korey Foreman nearing a decision
5-star Clemson football target nearing a decision
5-star Clemson football target Korey Foreman is nearing a decision after taking another visit this past weekend, this time to Arizona State.
Foreman- the nation’s No. 1 player according to the 247 Sports Composite Player Rankings– has made his rounds through the news cycle as of late pertaining to his recruitment.
Foreman decommitted from the Clemson football program earlier this spring, but said that he was still considering the Tigers and just wanted to view other options. It seemed as if Clemson was completely out of the picture and that LSU seemed like Foreman’s likely destination a month ago, but that has quickly changed as of late, as well.
Foreman made the trip to Death Valley a couple of weeks ago when the Tigers hosted the Pitt Panthers and he reportedly had a great time experiencing the atmosphere, seeing the campus again and spending time with ‘Big Dave’ Uiagalelei- the father of Clemson QB D.J. Uiagalelei.
In addition, he canceled his scheduled visit to LSU and then took a visit to Arizona State this past weekend.
Korey Foreman could choose Clemson football in early January
Foreman won’t announce his decision until January 2 as part of the All-American Bowl festivities, but there’s no doubt that Clemson is firmly in the race as we head into the final month of his recruitment.
There are four teams vying for his services: Clemson, USC, LSU and Arizona State.
Depending on which recruiting analyst you ask, you might get four different answers for who the leader in the clubhouse currently is. As far as we’re concerned, the USC Trojans likely remain the leader and several 247 Sports recruiting analysts agree.
But you can never count Big Dave out.
In the end, Foreman would be a great pickup for Clemson but it’s still one that seems as open as ever.
He could end up choosing the Tigers in early January- no doubt- or we could see Swinney’s program as fourth on his list and completely out of contention before it’s all said and done.
