Clemson football: 4-star LSU CB commit just had a crystal ball put in for Clemson
247 Sports analyst just changed their crystal ball prediction in favor of Clemson football
The Clemson football program is still in need of a cornerback for the 2021 recruiting class and things are rumored to be in the works for them to make a major flip.
Clemson football was looking heavily at 4-star CB Nyland Green as their only uncommitted offer, but he chose the Georgia Bulldogs this week and officially ended a topsy-turvy recruitment that saw several lead changes along the way.
Shortly after that decision was announced, though, something interesting happened. There has been rumored intel about a few LSU prospects and players looking to jump ship and one of those could potentially turn into a Clemson commitment.
247 Sports puts together a panel of experts for each top recruit around the country and they place ‘crystal ball predictions’ about where that prospect will land. Earlier in the summer before 4-star CB Nathaniel Wiggins committed to LSU, 10 experts had placed crystal balls on him with all 10 going to LSU.
However, something interesting happened in the crystal ball predictions board on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 1:02 p.m. Clemson 247 analyst Corey Fravel- who is 13/16 on predictions this year- changed his prediction from LSU to a flip to Clemson.
Clemson football would absolutely love to lure a talent like Wiggins to Tiger Town
Wiggins is an early enrollee and the belief is that he will still sign his National Letter of Intent during the Early Signing Period- which actually begins next week.
If Clemson football is able to flip him, that would be a major ‘get’ and nice feather in the cap of this staff to come back and pick up a commitment from a guy that might be a little leery about LSU’s program and the culture there currently.
Wiggins is rated as the No. 7 cornerback in the nation and the No. 13 overall player from the state of Georgia.
Keep your eyes on this one as we head down the stretch. We’re not saying it will absolutely happen, but there’s definitely a spark there that wasn’t there before.
