1. James Skalski

James Skalski is just now starting to get noticed by NFL scouts.

After being completely snubbed on the All-ACC team a year ago, it seems that Skalski (though he missed a few games with an injury) will have an opportunity to be named to the all-conference team this season.

If he left after this year, Skalski would have a chance to work himself up into the mid-rounds, but can you imagine if he would return?

He’d be pegged as one of the top returning linebackers in the nation and would finally be given the media spotlight time that he deserves. If he performs at the same level and continues to progress as a player, there’s no reason Skalski couldn’t work his way up into that Round 3-4 range, with potential to even go higher.

Clemson football fans know how much Skalski means to this defense, but the national media (who drive the draft narratives) are just catching on. Give him another year and you’re talking about millions of dollars in difference.
