Five things Clemson football fans should be grateful for during Thanksgiving 2020

As we celebrate what many blessings we have to be thankful for this week, it’s clear that Clemson football fans have plenty to be thankful for, as well.

It’s easy to get caught up in the disappointments of a canceled game or the fact that the Tigers won’t play the Gamecocks during the 2020 season for the first time in over a century.

But there have also been plenty of things to be grateful for around the program, as well.

5. We’re actually seeing Clemson football be played

Let’s go ahead and start with the most obvious one that should be noted in detail.

Do you remember back in June, July and August when national media said there wouldn’t be any College Football? Pete Thamel, for example, posted that sources had told him the entire Power-5 was set to cancel their respective seasons but that didn’t happen.

Instead, we’ve been blessed with getting to see the Clemson football team take the field eight times and they still have are playing. Most didn’t even think we’d get this far, but here we are nearly into December and games are being played.

Have their been some hiccups, cancellations and postponements along the way? Sure. Are there still doubts as we progress forward about finishing up the season? Yes.

But the fact of the matter remains that we’ve gotten to see the Tigers take the field many more times this fall than most national media ‘sources’ said we would.
