Trevor Lawrence won’t miss a beat in return vs. Florida State

Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence will be back in action this Saturday afternoon in Tallahassee, FLA to take on the Florida State Seminoles.

Trevor Lawrence, who missed the last two games due to a positive COVID-19 test, has returned to the team and has had a bye week to prepare and reacclimate following those 10 days in quarantine with mild symptoms.

Though Lawrence has had a little bit of time to readjust, many Clemson football fans have expressed concerns over his ability to come back into the game and not miss a beat. We’ve seen some athletes have a little bit of trouble coming back after experiencing symptoms, especially concerning building up strength following fatigue. One of the greatest examples of this is Tiger DE Xavier Thomas, who missed the first half of the season after he tested positive and then came down with strep throat following that.

That being said, there shouldn’t be as much worry for Trevor Lawrence when it comes to him looking like his old self

Lawrence has reportedly looked good in practice and he has posted on social media several times being out with his fiancée over the course of the bye week and such.

While there is always concern, Tiger fans should rest easy knowing that Lawrence seems to be back to 100 percent and even if he’s not quite at 100 percent, he won’t need to be this weekend.

Florida State has been an absolute train wreck so far. The Seminoles are tied for last in the ACC with a 1-6 conference record and a 2-6 overall record. If that weren’t bad enough, FSU just saw more players elect to opt out of the 2020 season and now they’ll be tasked with taking on a Clemson football team that is finally close to being back at full-strength (James Skalski will still miss the game).

That doesn’t bode well for the Seminoles in any way, shape or form.

It’s my opinion that we’re going to see Trevor Lawrence come out with a more focused performance and that he’ll do an excellent job getting the ball to his playmakers and taking advantage of the obvious talent & depth gap that will be present on Saturday.

The overall expectation? Don’t expect Lawrence to miss a beat when takes the field in Doak Campbell Stadium.
