The moment Boston College lost the game to Clemson football

Everything had gone right for Boston College in its matchup with against Clemson football until it made the fatal mistake even the most questionable among us wouldn’t make.

It’s not that often that you can find the exact moment that a game was turned on its head,  but that’s exactly what we can find in terms of the Clemson-Boston College game that was played this last Saturday.

The Eagles were soaring high as they poured it on the Tigers in the first half. Boston College was having all kinds of success offensively and then had just returned a 99-yard fumble for a touchdown.

Things were looking extremely favorable for the BC Eagles, but then they made a mistake that changed their luck for good. This mistake won’t be found on the field where the Clemson football team was playing. It won’t be found on the BC sideline or in the Eagles’ locker room at halftime.

No, this mistake can be found- well-documented, at that- on Twitter.

The Barstool BC tweeted out this little gem right around 1:08 p.m. E.T. at a time where the Eagles were leading the Tigers by two scores.

Barstool Clemson chimed in shortly after that and the rest, as they say, is history.

It wouldn’t be long after before Clemson football turned the tables

The football gods don’t look too fondly on South Carolina and, frankly, they never have.

South Carolina had its bye week and the Gamecocks were completely sold out to watching Boston College reel off the upset of a lifetime- until it all came crumbling down.

You see, BC twitter made the fatal mistake of aligning with death plague of College Football– the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Had they just remained quietly, things might’ve turned out different. But we all knew what the end result would be as soon as the two aligned.

Next. Clemson matches up better with ND than BC. dark

After all, we are inching closer and closer to an entire decade of the Gamecocks losing to the Tigers in basically every single imaginable when it comes to football.
