4-star Clemson football commits show the future is bright for Tigers

The future of the Clemson football program is bright and that has never been more apparent than with the first two commits of the 2022 recruiting class.

It took a little longer than what we normally see with Clemson football, but the Tigers are beginning to focus on the next recruiting cycle and- within days of one another- Clemson picked up its first two commitments of the 2022 recruiting class- both 4-star offensive tackles.

The first commitment was 4-star OT Blake Miller, an Ohio native, who picked the Tigers over in-state school Ohio State. Miller, a 6-foot-6 and 315 pound offensive tackle, is currently ranked No. 24 overall at the position and the No. 9 player in the state of Ohio.

The second commitment came this week when in-state 4-star OT Collin Sadler announced his decision. Sadler, a Greenville, S.C. native, is currently ranked as the No. 16 overall player at the position and the No. 4 player in the state of South Carolina.

Sadler was one of the first in-state prospects in the last couple of cycles that was high on the Tigers’ recruiting board.

The success of the Clemson football program starts up front

There’s no doubt that the Tigers have begun recruiting the offensive line at a higher level over the course of the last couple of recruiting cycles and that’s seemingly going to continue with this next class.

Both Sadler and Miller are extremely talented offensive tackles who have bright futures. Both of these commitments were also big in the sense of who the Tigers beat to pick them up.

It will be interesting to see how these two Clemson football commits progress over the next year, but make no mistake about it: Their pledges show how bright the future is for this program.

Clemson is currently ranked No. 12 in the nation for the 2022 cycle and the No. 2 team in the ACC with these two commitments.
