This Clemson football WR is turning NFL heads

The Clemson football program is seeing a star emerge right before its eyes in the form of WR Amari Rodgers, who has become the Tigers’ top receiving option.

It has been a winding road for Rodgers, but no matter what he has continued to work hard and pursue his dreams. Rodgers suffered a torn ACL during the spring of 2019 and rehabbed his injury so quickly that he was able to return to the field just a couple of games into the season.

While he was able to get on the field, it was clear that the injury had put him behind and that continued throughout the season where he finished the year with just 30 receptions for 426 yards and four touchdowns.

Rodgers could’ve elected to go ahead and try his hand at the NFL. He could’ve moved on, but instead he chose to return to the Clemson football program and worked even harder over the course of an uncertain offseason so that he could become the best he could possibly be.

The result is a dynamic WR who is making a major impact for Clemson football

Rodgers had just 30 receptions for 426 yards and four touchdowns last season. This season? He already has 25 receptions for more yards (429) and touchdowns (5) through just five games.

Rodgers is on pace to catch more than 50 passes and have close to 1,000 yards receiving. He has been a consistent receiving threat for the Tigers and is one of Trevor Lawrence‘s favorite targets- perhaps his No. 1.

It’s not just the way he has continued to develop, though. It’s the confidence and leadership that he is playing with.

Next. Trevor Lawrence would be ruined by the Jets. dark

There are very few Clemson fans that could’ve predicted that we would be seeing these types of performances from Rodgers heading into this season, but it’s clear that he is playing at a higher level and, as a result, turning a lot of NFL heads along the way.
