Offensive records

Most passing touchdowns in a game.

Deshaun Watson twice in his career threw for six touchdowns in a game. He did it in his first start for Clemson football in 2014 against North Carolina and again in his last game versus South Carolina in 2016.

Last week against Georgia Tech, Tigers quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw for a career-high four touchdowns and played just one series into the third quarter.

Despite the score, the Yellow Jackets secondary is much better than what Syracuse has in 2020.

Most touchdown receptions in a game.

Through the first five games of the season, it is clear that senior wide receiver Amari Rodgers is Trevor Lawrence’s go-to receiver and he has come up big already. Amari has set a career-high for touchdown receptions in a season with five and is averaging more than 17 yards a catch.

With 145 yards receiving, Amari will also surpass his career-best yards in a season. Don’t be surprised to see Amari not only set a personal record for yards receiving in a season but if he was to catch four TD passes on Saturday, he would set the new Clemson football record.

Most rushing touchdowns in a game

There aren’t many rushing records in school history or ACC history that senior running back Travis Etienne does not currently hold.

While five rushing touchdowns would be a huge day for Travis, both he and Trevor Lawrence are capable of achieving this record.
