Three areas Miami can expose against Clemson football
Clemson football is ranked as the No. 1 team in the nation for a reason, but that doesn’t mean that the Tigers don’t have areas of concern as they prepare to take on the Miami Hurricanes this coming Saturday night.
The Clemson football team recently defeated the Virginia Cavaliers in Death Valley and improved to 3-0 on the season, but now the Tigers will be faced with their toughest test of the season to this point when Miami comes to town.
The Hurricanes are currently ranked No. 7 in the nation, according to the latest AP Poll, and they’ll be looking to play spoiler in a game they are listed as the underdog by more than two touchdowns.
Though Clemson football is still the more talented team, here’s a look at three areas Miami could expose against the Tigers.
3. Miami’s front-seven can put pressure on Tigers’ offensive line
Clemson’s offensive line just hasn’t been up-to-par yet for whatever reason. The unit has struggled to get a push in the rushing attack and they’ve had issues at times in pass-protection.
Miami has a strong front-seven with pass-rushers who will get after the quarterback. Through three games, the Hurricanes already have 10 sacks and it’s clear that they’ll be looking to get to Trevor Lawrence Saturday evening.
Can the Tiger offensive line provide better protection for Lawrence and open up holes in the running game or will it be Miami’s front-seven that wins out. At this point, it would certainly seem that the Hurricanes could potentially have success in that category.
