The Clemson Tigers will take on ACC opponent Virginia Cavaliers this Saturday

The No. 1-ranked Clemson Tigers will be back in action this Saturday evening against the Virginia Cavaliers following an open date last weekend.

The Tigers and Cavaliers will square off at 8 p.m. E.T. live on the ACC Network with an estimated 19,000 Clemson football fans in attendance for the matchup.

As we continue to get ready for the rematch of the ACC Championship game from last December, here’s a look at some analysis and our final score prediction for the game.

Prediction & Analysis for Clemson’s matchup against Virginia Cavaliers

Bronco Mendenhall may not have built this Virginia program up to the point of becoming a top-25 team yet, but there’s no doubt that the Cavaliers are getting better year after year under his leadership.

The Cavaliers have lost their best playmaker from a year ago in Bryce Perkins and they replaced him with a growing quarterback in Brennan Armstrong. In his first game as the starter, Armstrong threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns and two interceptions, while completing just 53.3 percent of his passes.

While the Cavs have some seeming struggles offensively, they do return several playmakers on the defensive side of the ball including some talented defensive linemen.

In my opinion, the biggest battle of the night will be along the trenches between Clemson’s offensive line and the Virginia defensive line. Can the Tigers continue to grow along the offensive line and open up holes in the running game and give Trevor Lawrence time? Or will Virginia create havoc in the backfield.

In the end, Clemson is far too talented with more depth to lose this one and the Tigers win by a lot.

Final Score Prediction: Clemson 54, Virginia 10
