Clemson Football: Tigers still have work to do in depth-building

2. That defense is nasty

Who cares if it was The Citadel? The defense pitched a shutout and that should be celebrated.

The Tiger defense was flying around all afternoon. Whether it was the starters, backups or the third-stringers, they were making plays and doing an excellent job of getting in the backfield and creating havoc.

There were plenty of big-time hits and the unit looked like a bunch of monsters from top-to-bottom.

The secondary still has some work to do as they continue to develop, but it’s clear that the talent is there and this unit has a chance to be one of the best to ever play under Brent Venables.
