Clemson football: Four best home openers under Dabo Swinney
The 2020 Clemson football home opener is finally here!
We get it, Citadel isn’t a big name and is usually a game that most Clemson football fans would skip – which has always been dumb, to begin with. When you only get seven chances a year to see the Tigers run down the hill and seven chances to create the best atmosphere in college football you take advantage of all of them.
There are several reasons to look forward to today’s home opener. The weather is going to be absolutely perfect – the temperature will be right around 69 degrees at kickoff. This is usually something that we do not get to experience until October.
We get a chance to see a firsthand look at the 2020 freshman class. Sure, we saw them on TV last Saturday in Winston Salem, but that isn’t the same as seeing them live and in color. They are just as excited to play at home as we are to see them play at home.
The first opportunity for the greatest field entrance in college football. While the most exciting 25 seconds in college football will be a lot different this year than it has ever been, we will still get the opportunity to witness Clemson football touch Howard’s Rock and run down the hill. There is no better way to start a college football game.
What about in past years? What are the best home openers under head coach Dabo Swinney? We have decided to answer that question for you starting with number four.
