D.J. Uiagalelei won the backup QB position in fall camp and that was confirmed Saturday evening when he was the first QB on the field after Trevor Lawrence.

The competition is still ongoing, and that means we should expect that we see Uiagalelei early and often in this game against The Citadel.

The Clemson coaching staff is going to want to get both QBs involved more heavily than they were last weekend. Uiagalelei attempted just three passes against the Demon Deacons, but we should expect that number to exponentially rise on Saturday.

And the results will be successful.

The Clemson football team will square off with The Citadel at 4 p.m. this Saturday afternoon live on the ACC Network.
