Clemson vs. Wake Forest Final Score Prediction

The No. 1-ranked Clemson Tigers will take the field for the first time in 2020 against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons Saturday evening in Winston-Salem.

Though there will be no fans in the stands when the game kicks off at Truist Field, the expectation is that millions of College Football fans from around the country will be tuning in to watch the Tigers play.

As we progress closer to the start of the 2020 Clemson football season, here are few final predictions and tidbits to take into account.

How does the Clemson vs. Wake Forest game play out?

When you look at these two teams on paper, it’s easy to see why Clemson is considered a 31-point favorite.

The Tigers return key pieces- led by Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne– while Wake Forest will be without its top play-maker in Sage Surratt, who opted out of the season.

Wake Forest has some returning pieces on defense that could make that a bit of a more improved unit, but the Demon Deacons haven’t come close to slowing the Tigers down in the past couple of seasons (Clemson has beaten Wake Forest by a combined scored of 115-6 in the last two outings).

Could Wake Forest keep it close for a little while? Perhaps, but I don’t think that’s likely.

The Tigers are going to score basically at will and play a ton of players in the process. Wake Forest hasn’t done a lot of live tackling work during the preseason and that certainly won’t help them, either.

Final Score: Clemson 63, Wake Forest 10
