Why Trevor Lawrence should (but ultimately won’t) win the Heisman Trophy

There’s no doubt that Trevor Lawrence is the best player in America heading into the 2020 College Football season, but will the Heisman voters see it that way? That’s the major question heading into the season pertaining to the Clemson quarterback.

Trevor Lawrence enters the season easily as the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and has nothing to left to prove as we head into the fall. That being said, he has maintained the position that he wants to play another season of College Football and nothing- not even a pandemic- will seemingly get in the way of him avenging that loss to LSU from this past January and have a successful final season with the Tigers.

There’s no doubt that Trevor Lawrence should win the Heisman.

Lawrence is the most popular player in the country- the face of College Football– and he enters the year as a heavy favorite to win the award.

We all know he is going to have a big year and we all know that he has garnered the respect of at least most of the voters, so those are all reasons for why the odds should swing in his favor.

Despite the talent, leadership, skill, confidence, character and passion that Trevor Lawrence possesses- and the fact that we all know he should win the award- he ultimately won’t and here’s why.
