1. Dabo Swinney’s third National Title
If Clemson wins the National Championship this season, Dabo Swinney will have three National Titles under his belt.
That would put Swinney in elite company.
Since the inception of College Football, there have only been 15 coaches all-time to win at least three National Championships. Bear Bryant and Nick Saban are tied at the top with six apiece.
After them, we have Bernie Bierman and Woody Hayes with 5; Frank Leahy and John McKay with 4; and Howard Jones, Walter Camp, Urban Meyer, Tom Osborne, Knute Rockne Darrell Royal and Barry Switzer with 3.
Swinney has been absolutely legendary as the Head Coach of the Clemson football program and there’s nothing standing in his way from reaching that next level with a National Title victory this season.
