3. Taisun Phommachanh beats out D.J. Uiagalelei over the course of the season

Taisun Phommachanh is going to be the first QB off the bench once Trevor Lawrence comes out of the game- at least early on.

The question, however, is if he’ll maintain that status. The Clemson coaches have shown that they love to carry a backup QB competition over the course of a season, but it won’t be long- in my opinion- before DJ Uiagalelei wins out the job.

If Lawrence is injured or misses any time due to protocol, it’s my expectation that Uiagalelei will be the QB before it’s all said and done, so we’ll have to ‘sell’ this prediction.
